Tennessee Tech blows out Hiwassee 113-42

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jud Dillard scored 19 points to lead six players in double figures as Tennessee Tech routed Hiwassee College 113-42 on Thursday night.

The Golden Eagles (3-5) were 44 of 74 from the field (59.5 percent) and led 47-19 at halftime. Liam McMorrow and Kevin Murphy scored 15 points each. Chase Dunn scored 14 and Dennis Ogbe and Alfred Jones had 11 points apiece.

McMorrow also grabbed 12 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Tennessee Tech forced a school record 37 turnovers and outrebounded the Tigers 51-25. The previous mark for forced turnovers in a game was 29, which was set on Dec. 15, 1980, against Clinch Valley.

The Golden Eagles also forced 26 steals, tying a school record set on Nov. 22, 1991, against Covenant College.

Zach Williams scored 15 points to lead the Tigers, a Division II member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
