Lummi rolls past King’s Way Christian boys

YAKIMA — Ronomus Revey led four Lummi players in double figures with 19 points as the Blackhawks defeated King’s Way Christian 65-34 on Wednesday in the Class 1B boys state tournament.

David James added 15 points, and Kyle Finkbonner and Tony Rivera each scored 13 as Lummi (21-2) steadily pulled away. Revey made 8 of 12 shots and 3 of 4 free throws.

The Blackhawks made 65 percent (15 of 23) of their shots in the second half. KWC (9-13) converted just 25 percent (12 of 49) for the game.

Jake Tront and Christian Bukant each scored eight points to lead King’s Way Christian.

King’s Way will play Trout Lake/Glenwood in a consolation round game at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
