NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Chris Johnson’s agent says the running back and the Tennessee Titans have agreed on a revised deal that should ensure he reports with the rest of the team for training camp.

Agent Joel Segal confirmed the deal Monday in a text to The Associated Press.

The deal pays Johnson incentives this season that he was due to be paid in 2012. It’s not the minimum $30 million guarantee The AP 2009 Offensive Player of the Year says he wanted after becoming just the sixth back to run for at least 2,000 yards.

But he no longer will be the lowest-paid running back on the Titans roster and the deal should prevent him from missing training camp after sitting out the entire offseason in protest.

Profootballtalk.com first reported the deal.
