Two Vancouver men have been jailed on suspicion of residential burglary in the Rose Village neighborhood.

The brothers also may be connected to a string of burglaries in West Linn, Ore., as well as in the West Minnehaha and Lincoln neighborhoods, police said Thursday.

Arrested Tuesday were William V. Golyshevsky, 19, and Daniel B. Golyshevsky, 20.

West Linn police investigating the brothers for a burglary were conducting surveillance on them when they discovered the two allegedly were committing another burglary Tuesday in the Rose Village area. Officers alerted Vancouver police, who responded to the area and followed the men’s fleeing car. A brief foot chase ensued before the men were taken into custody at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

Police recovered stolen items — prescription drugs and video electronics — the following day while executing a search warrant, Kapp said.

Asked whether the Golyshevskys were also suspected in a rash of other recent burglaries in West Vancouver, Kapp said: “At this point, we’re looking at if they were involved in any, some or all” of the burglaries.
