NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Chris Walley passed for a career-high 305 yards and four touchdowns and set a single-game school record for completion percentage in leading Norfolk State to a 37-25 win over Morgan State on Saturday.

Walley completed 20 of 22 passes (90.9 percent) with one interception as the Spartans (4-5, 3-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their second straight after a four-game skid.

Walley’s 10-yard pass to Reggie Garrett with 4 seconds left in the first quarter gave Norfolk State a 10-6 lead. He hit Nigel McCowan with a 45-yarder in the second quarter and Sherron Childress with a 3-yarder in the third to build a 27-12 cushion.

After the Bears (4-5, 3-3) cut it to 30-25 on a 1-yard TD run by Jephte Cherenfant with 5:13 remaining, Walley threw a 64-yard scoring pass to Donovan Cotton with 3:23 left.

Morgan State’s Kemar Scarlett kicked four field goals.
