Vancouver police arrest man after restaurant disturbance

CRIME SPREE SUSPECT ARRESTED

On 10/10/10, Vancouver Police officers responded to Malicious Mischief / Disturbance call at the KFC restaurant located at 8302 E Mill Plain. It was reported that a male subject had entered the business, ordered food, then proceeded to damage fixtures and equipment in the store. An employee estimated the damage to be in the neighborhood of $15,000.00. The male subject left the store and went to a small church located at 6407 E Mill Plain. There, he created a disturbance,and was asked to leave. The subject left this location and went to the Starbucks Coffee shop located at Mill Plain & Chkalov where he created another disturbance, assaulted a handicapped male, and fled. The subject then went to the Chevron gas station located on Van Mall drive where he shoplifted beer and snacks and then drove away. Officers were able to locate the subject driving his vehicle into the parking lot of the Winco grocery store located at 2101 NE Andresen Road. After refusing to exit his vehic le, the suspect sustained one Taser application. The suspect was then taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was taken to the Clark County jail and booked on one felony count of Malicious Mischief. Additional charges of theft, and assault are currently under investigation. Booked was Vancouver resident, Jason M. Stevens (date of birth 3/16/1979).
