CLARK COUNTY — YWCA Clark County has scheduled several free events to bring attention to domestic violence, to be held in the community office at 3609 Main St.

At noon Thursday, Esther Nelson with the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Oregon will speak on the sex trafficking of minors in this area.

At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, there will be a Purple Night Lights ceremony on the front lawn to show support for victims and survivors of domestic violence, and folks also are asked to display purple lights at their homes and workplaces through October.

Several other events will follow, including a radio program featuring SafeChoice Director Debra Adams as a guest on Michelle Bart’s Voices for Justice program at 6 p.m. on October 6 on KBOO Community Radio, FM 90.7, according to a YWCA bulletin.
