PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The unemployment numbers for Oregon in March are ready to be released after the state showed some improvement in February.
The Oregon Employment Department said the state added nearly 10,000 jobs in February, the largest increase since before the Great Recession.
But the February increase wasn’t enough to make a significant change in the statewide unemployment rate, which has been stuck between 10 percent and 11 percent for more than a year.
The March figures for Oregon are due to be released after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
