HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Miss Blakely edged Bet On the Blue by a head Saturday in the $60,000 South Beach Stakes for fillies and mares at Gulfstream Park.
Miss Blakely, a 5-year-old mare trained by Joe Orseno and ridden by Paco Lopez, ran 712 furlongs on the turf course in 1:32.18 and paid $8.80, $5.50 and $3.20 for her seventh victory in 20 starts.
Bet On the Blue returned $10.40 and $5.40, and Carem Crescent paid $2.40 to show.
