SEATTLE (AP) — Police are looking at a website where anarchists say they are responsible for breaking windows at a Chase bank branch in Seattle.
Spokesman Mark Jamieson say investigators are following any lead to catch the people responsible for tens of thousands of dollars in damage Thursday night in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Witnesses reported four-to-six people, all dressed in black with hoods and masks, smashed bank windows with a hammer.
An anonymous posting Friday on the pugetsoundanarchists website shows photos of the broken glass and says, “This action was taken because banks are a clear symbol of the misery and slavery that we experience under capitalism.”
