Letter: New Park & Ride is badly timed

Why in heaven’s name does Clark County have to add a new C-Tran Park & Ride lot at the corner of Northeast 139th Street and 10th Avenue now with the economy so bad and money tight? They say it is because they want to make the old lot, which is a mile or less away, into a wetlands area. Why did they not think of that before they built the old one? Duh.

Also, they are redoing the road on 10th Avenue that will go by the new Park & Ride. You think that they would have tried to straighten out that stretch of road a little, but no, they are making it into a roundabout that is very curvy and slows down traffic. I personally think that roundabouts are dangerous, and with the amount of traffic in that area, it is not a good plan and will only add to the congestion.
