VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A man accused of causing a fatal crash in Clark County has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide charges.

The Columbian newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/rrLtcB ) that 21-year-old Tyler G. Peabody entered the plea Friday in Clark County Superior Court. The crash on Aug. 16 killed 76-year-old Roy Thorp of Vancouver and badly injured two others.

Witnesses said Peabody lost control of his Ford Mustang as he made an illegal pass, then hit Thorp’s Subaru head-on. Police said Peabody was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
