20-year-old Battle Ground man identified in fatal crash Friday

Officials identified a 20-year-old man as the person killed Friday morning when he crashed his vehicle into a tree east of Battle Ground.

Tyler Wicht of Battle Ground died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.

A witness called 911 at 6:55 a.m. to report the crash in the 19400 block of Northeast Risto Road, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

When first responders arrived, they pronounced Wicht dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office has not released further information about the crash.
