Letter: Practical leadership prevailing

The Columbian
Published:

I appreciate the fact that Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, is honest and true to her word. She continues to stand strong against highly political, misleading attacks from those who want government-first health care and who believe that income redistribution is good economic policy. I appreciate that she opposes tax increases on our families and small businesses while attempting to save Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.

Herrera Beutler understands that raising taxes on the middle class hurts moms, dads and working families. She has very reasonably been fighting to stop the subsidizing of corporations by closing corporate tax loopholes. She continues to be a ray of hope who listens and understands her constituents.
