Super Espresso wins Big A’s Sky Beauty

NEW YORK (AP) — Super Espresso, owned by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, extended her winning streak to three Sunday in the $60,000 Sky Beauty Stakes for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Making her stakes debut, Super Espresso got up by a head over Diva’s Gold as the 9-5 favorite. Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Todd Pletcher as the 4-year-old ran the one mile in 1:39.79 in the slop.

Super Espresso paid $5.60, $3.30 and $3. Diva’s Gold returned $7.80 and $4.70. Electric Gold paid $2.50 to show.
