US boats win 4 races on last day of Henley Regatta

HENLEY, England (AP) — American boats won four titles on the final day of the Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames.

Harvard won the Prince Albert Cup by defeating Oxford Brookes University by 134 lengths Sunday in the final of the race for student coxed fours. University of California led from the first stroke in the Temple Cup for student eights to down Dutch students by 412 lengths.

In the Remenham Cup for female international eights, the reigning world champion United States team — racing as Princeton Training Center — equaled the record time of 6 minutes, 38 seconds by beating the British national crew of Leander and Gloucester.

Princeton Training Center also won the Princess Grace Cup for female international quadruple scullers, powering to a 114-length victory over the Australian Institute of Sport.
