After a relentlessly chilly and wet spring and early summer, this week’s mid-80 temperatures feel like a heat wave.

It may be over by tomorrow.

Forecasters predict a high of 85 and sunny skies in Vancouver today. Increasing clouds are expected tonight, however, with a 20 percent chance of rain on Thursday. A high of 76 is predicted then, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday is just as anticlimactic, with a high of 71 expected under partly sunny skies.
