Skamania County issues press release on Rainbow gathering death

Here is a press release from the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office:

28 year old female dies of apparent medical issues at Rainbow Festival

At 06:37 in the morning of July 6th, 2011 the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office 911 dispatch center received a call for a 28 year old female who was found unconscious near the FS 3200 Rd 150 Spur at the Rainbow Festival. The 911 communications center immediately dispatched Skamania County EMS as well as several Deputies and USFS Law Enforcement Officers. A bystander with the patient was already performing CPR.

The female, Amber Kellar, was pronounced deceased at the scene after EMS and Officers arrived. The Detectives on the case are advising this is thought to be medically induced. The patient has been transported to Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. No other information regarding the cause of death is known at this time until the Medical Examiner’s investigation has been completed. The patient was from Weed, CA and her family has been notified.
