A man who fell to his death by the Columbia River near Prindle has been identified.

On Wednesday, Skamania County medics responded to reports that a man had fallen 20 feet onto rocks on the shore of the Columbia River east of Cape Horn. The man, identified Saturday as Francisco Javier Duran of Tualatin, Ore., was pronounced dead.

The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene at a private residence. An investigation determined that no criminal actions led to Duran’s death.
