5 injured in Olympic Peninsula collision

QUILCENE, Wash. (AP) — Five people have been seriously injured in a collision on Highway 104 on the Olympic Peninsula.

The Washington State Patrol told KOMO Radio they are being airlifted to hospitals in three helicopters.

A spokesman says a car was passing when it collided head-on with another vehicle.

It happened at 9:45 a.m. Friday on the section of Highway 104 between the Hood Canal floating bridge and the Highway 101 interchange in Jefferson County.
