Boys & Girls Clubs dish up free summer meals

All children age 18 and younger can enjoy free meals at Boys & Girls clubhouses and other sites in Vancouver and Hazel Dell this summer. Participants will not need to register or provide evidence of family income before eating.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Simplified Summer Food Program for Children will run Mondays through Fridays from June 27 through Aug. 26, with no service on July 4.

Breakfast will be served from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. at the Clinton & Gloria John Clubhouse, 409 N.E. Anderson Road, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Roosevelt Elementary School, 2921 Falk Road.

Lunch will be served from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Roosevelt School, and from noon to 12:45 p.m. at Hazel Dell Elementary School, 511 N.E. Anderson Road.

Afternoon snacks are scheduled from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at both the O.K. Clubhouse & Teen Turf Club, 4040 Plomondon Road., and at the Clinton & Gloria John Clubhouse on Anderson.
