All-Region Girls Golf Player of the Year

Season highlights

• Rolled to a victory at the Class 3A district golf tournament. She was 13 strokes better than any of the 4A and 3A golfers who played the course that week.

• Chloe recorded a personal-best 3-over-par 76 in the final round at district, extending a four-shot lead after the first round to 14.

• Made the cut at state and finished 17th.

• Finished second at the Chieftain Invite, first among Clark County golfers.

• Favorite TV show: “I have a lot of favorite TV shows. Leverage and Psych. Oh, and Burn Notice.”

• Favorite book: “The Eragon series is my favorite of all time.”

Next year and beyond

• Bartek said she is looking forward to the challenge of being a defending district champion. Her goal is to score in the 70s of both rounds at district, then repeat the feat at state.


“I did a lot better than last year. District, that was amazing. State wasn’t that great, but everybody has a bad day. Overall, the season went pretty well.”

• Belex Cheng, so., Union: Placed 14th at 4A state; district champion; 4A GSHL golfer of the year.

• Amelia Dale, sr., Mountain View: Placed 23rd at 3A state; third at district; first team all-league selection.

• Nicole Sallee, sr., Woodland: Placed 14th at 2A state; fourth at district; first-team all-league selection.

• Maddy Ward, sr., Prairie: Placed 11th at 3A state; district runner-up; first team all-league selection.

• Kelsey Whiles, so., Hockinson: Placed 14th at 2A state; sixth at district; first-team all-league.
