Officials on both sides of the Columbia River Gorge are asking the public to help find a man who’s wanted for several violent crimes, some committed against a girlfriend.

Christopher J. Trosper is white, 31, and 5 feet 11 inches tall, according to Skamania County Undersheriff Dave Cox.

Trosper is wanted for alleged first-degree kidnapping in a domestic violence case, unlawful imprisonment in a domestic violence case, taking a motor vehicle without permission and fourth-degree assault in a domestic violence case. Trosper lives in the Underwood and White Salmon areas of Skamania and Klickitat counties. His last known location is The Dalles, Ore.

Anyone who sees Trosper is warned not to approach him. Instead, call 911 or the sheriff’s 24-hour emergency dispatch line at 509-427-9490. Trosper should be considered armed and dangerous.

Because of the sensitive nature of this case, no further details will be released at this time, Cox said.
