Union High School will host a free public concert at 7 tonight by the Travis Brass Quintet, part of the U.S. Air Force band stationed at northern California’s Travis Air Force Base.

The group’s repertoire will span musical history, from medieval times to patriotic military songs to contemporary music. The event is in Union’s auditorium, at 6201 Friberg-Strunk St.

Led by Staff Sgt. Jill Corbett, the unit is the resident brass quintet of the USAF Band of the Golden West, the only active-duty Air Force band west of the Rocky Mountains.
