TNT’s hit TV show “Leverage” is back in Vancouver for a few days this week.

Crews were downtown Monday filming scenes at Esther Short Park and at Joe Brown’s Cafe, 817 Main St.

Scores of vehicles and a large tent are stationed in an empty lot on Eighth Street between Columbia and Washington streets. Yellow signs reading “Base Camp” and “Crew Parking” are set up around the lot. A couple of nearby streets lined with equipment and dressing room trailers are closed to the public.

Some downtown streets will remain closed today as the crew continues to film in the area, said Kimberly McFarland, the City of Vancouver’s special-events coordinator.

Crews will be filming Wednesday at Park Hill Cemetery as they wrap up their visit to Vancouver, McFarland said.

“Leverage,” the TNT cable network show starring Oscar-winning actor Timothy Hutton, is filmed largely in Portland. But in the last two years, the show’s crew occasionally has crossed the Columbia River to film in Vancouver. The show is set in Boston.

In March, crews were in Camas filming at The Fairgate Inn.
