Jody Campbell, community outreach director for The Columbian newspaper, will be honored by the Salvation Army at a community luncheon on May 11.

Campbell is the wife of Columbian publisher and owner Scott Campbell. She will be representing the entire Campbell family, longtime supporters of the Salvation Army through their People In Need Foundation.

The Salvation Army provides social services, housing, food and emergency assistance for people in need. The luncheon will include real-life examples of the difference the agency has made here in Clark County.

Craig Lyons, executive director of the Council for the Homeless, will be the guest speaker. Music will be provided by steel drum band the Skyview Tropical Storm.

The event is set for noon May 11 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth Street. Tickets are $35 per person. To learn more or order tickets, call 360-448-2876 or visit http://www.SalvationArmyVancouver.org.
