MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — An early-morning traffic stop in Medford led to the discovery of 2.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine after the driver of a 2005 sedan allowed an Oregon State Police trooper to check his car.
The trooper called for a drug-sniffing dog and found about $60,000 worth of the drug in vacuum-sealed containers in a hidden compartment in the car.
Froylan Garcia, of Federal Way, Wash., was charged with delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
It was unclear on Saturday whether Garcia had hired an attorney. A telephone number for Garcia could not be located.
