EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Eugene police have arrested a father and son after a high-speed car chase that followed a bank robbery.

Police spokeswoman Jenna McCulley says Officer Aaron Johns responded to the Monday afternoon robbery at a Pacific Continental Bank branch. The officer tried to stop a departing car but the car took off. Eventually, Springfield police and Oregon State Police helped Eugene officers stop the car on northbound Interstate 5.

Investigators say one man entered the bank and demanded cash, then took off in a Toyota Tercel driven by a second man.

McCulley says officers arrested 54-year-old Robert Allen Little and 31-year-old Matthew Little.
