MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A therapist has testified the half brother of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was evading questions about his use of child pornography and not cooperating during an evaluation for court-ordered sex offender treatment in southern Oregon, where he lives.

A judge in Medford is deciding whether to terminate probation and send 63-year-old James Auchincloss to prison for up to a year and a half. He was convicted last year of two counts of encouraging child sexual abuse.

Therapist Pennie Farrell testified Tuesday that Auchincloss failed to complete the steps necessary before taking a lie detector test designed to disclose past sexual deviancies and design a treatment program.

The hearing was continued until June 7. Auchincloss remains under house arrest at his home in Ashland.
