DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Tavares Sledge scored 16 points off the bench to lead Wright State in an 80-56 rout of Division III Kenyon on Saturday.
The Raiders (1-1) scored 50 points off the bench, getting 14 from John Balwigaire and 11 from Kendall Griffin, both of whom didn’t start.
Wright State jumped out to a 42-24 lead at halftime, after going 6 of 11 from 3-point range in the first half (54.5 percent). Balwigaire was 3 of 4 from long range as the Raiders made 7 of 19 3-pointers for the game (36.8 percent)
In the second half, Wright State wasn’t as efficient from behind the arc (1 of 8) but made 11 of 13 shots from the free-throw line (84.6 percent).
