Arkansas rolls past Mississippi Valley State 97-64

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Mardracus Wade scored a career-high 20 points to lead Arkansas to a 97-64 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday night.

The Razorbacks (5-1) led most of the way, making 59.3 percent of their field goal attempts, including 11 of 23 from beyond the arc.

Wade made four 3-pointers. The sophomore scored 15 points by intermission, giving Arkansas a 47-30 halftime lead.

Julysses Nobles added 16 points for the Razorbacks while Devonta Abron scored 13 and BJ Young and Rickey Scott each added 11.

Terrence Joyner and Cor-J Cox each scored 15 points to lead the Delta Devils (1-6).

While the majority of its points came from its guards, the undersized Arkansas team dominated the interior. The Razorbacks scored 34 points in the paint and had 20 second-chance points in their third straight win.
