COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Columbus Crew and owners, the Hunt Sports Group, have reached agreement with third-year coach Robert Warzycha (vahr-ZEE’-hah) on a new multiyear contract.
Length and terms of the deal were not revealed.
Warzycha, one of the Crew’s best players, is in his 10th season on the club’s coaching staff. He is 45-2-28 in the MLS regular season and is 55-41-33 in all competitions. His teams are 30-8-11 for a .724 winning percentage at home.
The Crew are in first place in the Eastern Conference with an 11-8-7 record and 40 points.
