Coeur d’Alene routs Skyview 52-14

Chad Chalich passed for 342 yards and rushed for 101 more as Coeur d’Alene routed Skyview 52-14 in non-league league at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The Vikings, the top-ranked team in Idaho’s 5A division, took a 25-0 halftime lead on three touchdowns by Carlos Martinez.

Martinez had 16-yard TD run and TD pass plays of 48 and 25 yards. He finished with 15 carries for 91 yards rushing and four catches for 96 yards.

Chalich completed 21 of 28 passes and threw four touchdown passes. He also had a 57-yard touchdown run.

Parker Henry got Skyview on the board with a 65-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, cutting the Vikings’ lead to 25-7.

But Coeur d’Alene (3-0) scored two more touchdowns to push the lead to 38-7.

Spencer Miles had a 20-yard TD reception from Jordan Bernie for the Storm.

Skyview (0-2) returns to Vancouver and will play Heritage on Friday at McKenzie Stadium to open Class 4A Greater St. Helens League play.
