The Columbia River Crossing announced Friday that it is forming a bistate citizen advisory committee to provide input on corridor and local improvements and serve as a liaison to local neighborhoods.
Committee members will have an opportunity to affect local, on-the-ground improvements; serve as a conduit to neighborhoods and local interest groups; and participate in community outreach efforts.
The committee will include about 30 members, including 12 to15 people from each state who reflect interests throughout the project area. Members will serve for one- or two-year terms.
The full committee will meet one or two times a year. Vancouver and Portland subcommittees, both composed of bi-state committee members, will each meet 10 to 12 times per year.
Completed applications for committee membership are due Oct. 17 to feedback@columbiarivercrossing.com. Applications also may be submitted by mail to Columbia River Crossing, 700 Washington St., Suite 300, Vancouver, WA 98660.
