Warren’s 3 TDs lead South Dakota to 48-10 rout

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Dante Warren passed for two long touchdowns and ran for another as South Dakota defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State 48-10 Saturday.

The Coyotes (2-1) scored on their first five possessions en route to a 31-0 halftime lead, then added a field goal and two touchdowns on their first three second-half possessions to make it a rout.

Warren had TD passes of 45 yards to Will Powell and 50 yards to Jeremy Blount, along with a 62-yard rushing touchdown. Powell also caught a 12-yard TD pass from backup quarterback Josh Vander Maten.

Northwestern Oklahoma State (0-3), an NAIA school, scored all its points in the fourth quarter on a 34-yard field goal from Edgar Colmenares and a 24-yard pass from Kyle Jech to Kent McDonald.
