Otah out for Panthers, Williams out for Packers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams is inactive Sunday against Carolina due to a bruised right shoulder.

Sam Shields will start for Williams, who was hurt in the opener. In addition, Jarius Wynn will start for defensive end Mike Neal, who had surgery this week due to a lingering left knee injury.

The other Packers inactives are running back Alex Green, cornerback Davon House, linebacker Frank Zombo, offensive lineman Derek Sherrod and linebacker Vic So’oto.

For Carolina, offensive tackle Jeff Otah is out with a concussion. Undrafted rookie Byron Bell will start in his place.

The other Panthers inactives are quarterback Jimmy Clausen, cornerback Josh Thomas, linebacker Jason Williams, offensive guard Reggie Wells, receiver Kealoha Pilares and defensive tackle Ronald Fields.
