Patron tour of Hough, VSAA planned for Oct. 7

VANCOUVER — Vancouver Public Schools Superintendent Steve Webb will host an Oct. 7 patron tour of Hough Elementary School and the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics.

Highlights will include a program at Hough Elementary to increase students’ reading fluency and engagement in learning through the use of iPod Touches.

The tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. A lunch prepared by students in the district’s award-winning culinary arts program will be available for $4. Students will provide a musical performance.
