SCAPPOOSE, Ore. (AP) — Classes were scheduled Thursday at Scappoose High School with security precautions in place after a threat made against the school.

KGW-TV (http://bit.ly/I6BsJT ) reports the school district sent a note to parents and students saying police started an investigation Wednesday. The nature of the threat wasn’t specified.

The letter notes that parents can choose whether to send students to school.
