Image — Every Halloween, more than 2,000 kids travel through a homemade “spooky tunnel” in the driveway of Image Neighborhood residents Betty and Monte Stults. For their dedication to decorations, including vibrant displays during most major holidays, the couple received the “Sparkles” award in November from the Vancouver Office of Neighborhoods. The Vancouver Sparkles honor goes to residents who make their property special, whether through decorating like the Stults family, or by immaculate landscaping. With help from their son, the Stults’ have been festively transforming their home on 28th Street for more than 20 years. With all the adornments built up over time, Monte Stults said it’s become a challenge to find room in his garage, according to a Office of Neighborhoods press release.
