An Amboy woman remained in critical but stable condition Monday night at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries sustained in a Sunday morning head-on crash on state Highway 503, about four miles north of Battle Ground.

The Washington State Patrol said Stacy M. Leukuma, 31, was southbound on the highway in a 2004 Toyota 4Runner at 10:53 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line, colliding with a northbound 2007 Dodge Ram driven by Lonny A. Brooks, 24, of Battle Ground.

Brooks was not injured, the state patrol said. His passenger, Caleb Mosteller, 22, of Vancouver, was treated and released at PeaceHealth.

The patrol said the accident was caused by driving too fast.
