Letter: Illegal weapons are always available

A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms (“to bear” in my 1972 Webster’s means to carry, to show, to transport) shall not be infringed (an infringement is any law that takes away a person’s rights).

A large majority of gun deaths in this country are done with guns that have not been bought legally and are committed by gangsters, like the Hell’s Angels, the Crips and the Bloods. None of these offenders goes to a gun shop to buy a gun — they either steal them or buy them on the black market.
