Green Meadows — The Jacksons Food Store at Northeast Andresen Road and 85th Avenue has again assisted in the fight against domestic violence.

The Jacksons chain has been raising money for the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence for years by selling Doves of Peace to its customers during the holiday season.

Last year, the Andresen store raised the most money of any store in the Jacksons Food Store chain, with 3,581 “doves” sold and $29,423 raised. Since 2003, Jacksons customers and Jacksons Food Stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Nevada have raised more than $500,000 to combat domestic violence.
