FRIDAY’S GAMES

CLASS 4A

Union (17-7) vs. Curtis of Tacoma (19-6) 8 p.m. at Auburn High School (Internet broadcast: www.carlclick.com): Curtis beat Union last week 59-51 en route to the 4A bi-district tournament title. Look for the Titans to start out stronger. They trailed 13-0 to the Vikings.

Evergreen (15-9) vs. Davis of Yakima (19-2) 8 p.m. at Spokane Falls Community College: The Plainsmen, led by 6-11 Caleb Dressler, are making their second consecutive appearance in the final 16. … Davis is ranked No. 1 in the state by the Seattle Times and the Tacoma News Tribune.

CLASS 3A

Mountain View (20-7) vs. Seattle Prep (21-5) 8 p.m. at Bellevue College: Our guess is Seattle Prep will be on the lookout for Mountain View’s Zach Torson, who has scored 42 and 43 points in his last two games. Seattle Prep jumped up to the top spot in the 3A rankings for the Seattle Times and is No. 2 in the Tacoma News Tribune.

CLASS 1A

Ridgefield (18-5) vs. Cascade Christian of Tacoma (17-7) 8 p.m. at W.F. West HS in Chehalis: Michael Potter and Sam Landerholm led the Spudders to the District 4 title last week. … Shawn Spencer leads Cascade Christian at 13.3 points per game.

CLASS 1B

King’s Way Christian (16-7) vs. Lummi of Bellingham (12-4) 6 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace HS: This is the third consecutive trip to the final 16 for King’s Way. … Earl Johnson and Jordan Deardorff both average 12 points per game for Lummi.
