John Stevens of Vancouver was the winner of The Columbian's "Where in Washington?'' photo contest for December, correctly identifying the Peterson Prairie Guard Station near Trout Lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
There were 28 entries with 17 correct answers.
Stevens was selected in a random drawing of the correct answers.
The prize for the January contest will be a copy of Leon Leonwood Bean's 1942 book "Hunting, Fishing and Camping.'' The no-nonsense book offers instruction on topics from packing a canoe to deer hunting.
