Colimon’s 22 points lift Eastern Washington 76-59

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Cliff Colimon scored a game-high 22 points to help carry Eastern Washington to a 76-59 victory over Northern Arizona on Saturday night.

Collin Chiverton, who sat out the first half, scored Eastern Washington’s first 10 points of the second half and finished with 12 for the Eagles (8-8 overall, 2-2 Big Sky).

James Douglas scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half to lead the Lumberjacks (5-11, 1-3).

With Eastern Washington trailing 31-27, Chiverton’s 3-pointer to start the second half ignited a 12-4 run that saw the Eagles grab a 39-35 lead. Eastern Washington extended the lead to 59-50 on Chiverton’s driving layup with 5:12 left.

Jeffrey Forbes added 15 points and Laron Griffin 11 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles.

Durrell Norman scored 12 and Gabe Rogers 11 for Northern Arizona.
