Caleb Dressler scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds and blocked three shots as the Plainsmen won at home.

Evergreen outscored Battle Ground 20-1 from the free-throw line to overcome the Tigers perimeter shooting. Serg Ovchinnikov (15 points) and Jamie Ford (11 points) each hit three 3-pointers for Battle Ground.

Jahmil Johnson scored 11 points for Evergreen (9-4, 3-2 GSHL), and Tre Clark contributed nine points and three steals.

The Tigers (6-6) played without senior post Jake Belford for the second game in a row because of a knee injury, and fell to 1-4 in Class 4A Greater St. Helens league play.

Evergreen coach Kelly Blankenship credited the defensive efforts of Andrew White and Ajay Jenkins on the perimeter for helping the Plainsmen hold off the Tigers in the second half, when Evergreen outscored Battle Ground 31-22.
