Prep highlights: Addy Harmier comes up big as Skyview softball beats Battle Ground 3-2

Addy Harmier got the Storm going with a first-inning home run, then scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Skyview softball team beat Battle Ground 3-2 in a 4A Greater St. Helens League showdown on Friday.

Harmier’s two-run home run in the first put Skyview up 2-0, a lead the Storm would hold onto for the first four innings.

Battle Ground rallied to tie the game in the fifth as Seyah Lindersmith’s run doubled score Hailey Ferguson from first base. Lindersmith took third on the throw home and scored on an error.

In the sixth, Harmier singled to lead off the inning and was sacrificed to second. Layla Royle then drove Harmier home with a two-out single.

Maddie Milhorn struck out 11 over seven innings to get the win for Skyview. She did not allow an earned run.

Zoey Hughes struck out six over six innings for the Tigers.

Lauren Baker, La Center softball, went 2 for 3 with four runs, two home runs and three RBI in a 15-5 win over Stevenson.

Kingsley Williams, Seton Catholic softball, went  3 for 4 with three runs, double and six RBI in a 19-3 win over King’s Way Christian.

Joella Posini, Columbia-White Salmon softball, went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI in a 9-4 win over Castle Rock.

Emily Foytack, Mark Morris softball, went 4 for 5 with a double, triple, home run and eight RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Fort Vancouver.

Mallory Vancleave, Ridgefield softball, 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI in a 15-0 win over Hudson’s Bay.

Kaylen Wingerd, Ridgefield softball, went 2 for 2 with two RBI for Spudders.

Gabi Silveria, Woodland softball, went 2 for 2 with two home runs and five RBI in a 17-4 win over Washougal.

Gracie Garden, Hockinson softball, went 3 for 3 with three runs, two doubles, two RBI and two walks in a 12-7 win over R.A. Long.

Jaila Ellis, Heritage softball, pitches seven strong innings and goes 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI in a 7-2 win over Evergreen.

Payton Blunt, Prairie softball, goes 3 for 4 with two runs, two RBI and a solo home run in the sixth inning that gave Prairie its winning margin in a 6-5 win over Kelso.

Dossen Morrow, Mark Morris baseball, went 2 for 2 with a two-run home run as the Monarchs score three in the sixth to beat Woodland 9-6.

Smith Stimmel, La Center baseball, delivered two-run single in the top of the seventh as La Center scores four to beat Hockinson 6-3.

Ryker Ruelas, Seton Catholic baseball, belted a grand slam as the Cougars beat King’s Way Christian 12-5.

Zayne Boyes, Columbia River baseball, went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two RBI and scored two runs in the Rapids’ 11-4 win over Hudson’s Bay.

Wyatt Hemmelman, Ridgefield baseball, knocked in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning for the Spudders in their 3-1 win at R.A. Long.

Will Taves, Camas boys soccer, made five saves in goal for a clean sheet in the Papermakers’ 1-0 win over Davis of Yakima.

Tito Banuelos, Columbia River boys soccer, scored two goals and had two assists in the Rapids’ 6-0 win over Mark Morris.

Jackson Radi, Mountain View boys soccer, scored a goal and assisted on another as the Thunder beat Battle Ground 4-0.

Alonzo Flores, Hockinson boys soccer, scored three goals in Hockinson’s 4-2 win over Ridgefield.
