Letter: Tolerant attitude preferred

The Columbian
Published: January 20, 2012, 4:00pm

When I read Dave Kosloski’s rant (“Unabashed homophobia is laughable,” Jan. 13) about a letter sent in by Roger Jones, I wondered: why call the man a name (homophobe) and go on and on like someone obsessed, while Jones was only expressing his opinion? After all, isn’t this the Opinion page?

If you think that gays have no impact in the military, then you have never heard of a “blanket party.” I have a live-and-let-live attitude and if Jones feel that way, so be it.

If one is so obsessed with protecting the gay lifestyle then join up and have at it, nobody cares.
