BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — A Puget Sound Energy spokesman says the utility hopes to have most of the out-of-service customers in King and Pierce counties back on line Tuesday.

Spokesman Roger Thompson says crews will then focus on Thurston County, which has about half of the outages.

Crews started Tuesday with about 27,000 customers still without power they lost in last week’s snow and ice storms.

The utility says it has restored power to more than 380,000 customers.

PSE has 280 crews in the field, with work continuing around the clock.

Bellevue-based PSE serves more than 1 million electric customers and 750,000 natural gas customers in 11 counties.
