Girls basketball: Woodland 44, Hockinson 35

The Beavers’ trapping full-court defense turned around the contest after halftime.

Hockinson led 18-8 at the break, but Woodland outscored the home team 19-5 during the third quarter.

Taylor McCullough led the Beavers with 13 points, all in the second half, and also made five steals. Emily Smith and Sidra Malik had 11 apiece. Smith also had five steals and six rebounds.

For Hockinson, Jenna Haagen scored 16 points and Katelyn McGuire contributed 12 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
